The NEET and IIT JEE exams will take place as per the schedule. The government of India will comply with the Supreme Court observation, a source said and added that the demand for the postponement of the exam is not justify.
"The situation is not conducive due to the Covid-19 pandemic but career of the students cannot be put on hold. Long and full academic year cannot be wasted, keeping this in mind Govt has decided to conduct the NEET & JEE Mains 2020 exams as per the schedule i.e., in the first week of September 2020," the source added.

NTA(NATIONAL TESTING AGENCY)-NEET and JEE 2020 POSPONEMENT:
Secretary Education Ministry has clarified that the NEET and JEE mains 2020 exams scheduled for September cannot be Posponed as per Supreme court order.NTA Added that In our opinion, though there is pandemic situation, but ultimately life has to go and the career of the students cannot be put on peril for long and full academic year cannot be wasted," a release issued by the NTA said.... the examination is going to be held with due precaution and it is not going to be postponed. Thus, we find no merit in the writ petition."
It may be noted that the number of people and organisations were against the decision of the government to hold any NEET and JEE Mains examination 2020.
NTA:SAFETY FIRST PRIORITY DURING EXAMS of JEE AND NEET:
The source further said that the exam will be held as per the norms of
ministry of healtha family welfare which means during the examination social distancing will be observed and gloves and mask will be distributed at the examination centres. Thermal screening and sanitization will be done before allowing a candidate to enter the examination hall.
The admit cards for the NEET (UG), scheduled to be held on September 13, are scheduled to be released shortly. Out of the total of 15,97,433 candidates, 99.87 per cent are being given the first choice of their preferred city.

Fear of upcoming NEET examination has allegedly led a girl student to commit suicide at her residence here, police said on Wednesday.The 19-year old resident of East Venkatasamy Road was preparing for NEET, scheduled to be held in September, for the past few months and was found depressed. The girl took the extreme step as she was scared of the approaching the exam, they said.It was sad that because of this pandemic some one's life has been gone be ause all the exam would have been held properly as per schedule if this Corona pandemic would not have been.
